We don’t take the D word very lightly.
Humans are naturally curious beings. We are conditioned to question things, and seeing the design landscape at the moment got us thinking.
Our long term goal is to set to answer the million-Rupiah question – why exactly is design often associated with luxury, high end goods? Why is it only available to the 1%?
It’s a problem many have attempted to rectify. However, in the quest of providing design to everyone, some have resorted to the unethical – fast imitation and little consideration, for the sake of short term gain.
In the world of replica chairs and counterfeit coffee tables, we set our sights on something different, in hopes that this will trigger change.
Enter, Arsene.
True to our name, we are gentlemen thieves. Instead of stealing designs, we steal the idea of good design from the rich, in the aims of providing good, democratic design to everyone.
Instead of creating fine, intricate objects that only the 1% can afford, we find satisfaction in creating carefully considered pieces that cater to the most.
We make products that are fun and functional, taking inspiration from everyday things in life. Most importantly, we find the perfect balance between good design, quality, and affordability – that is, to make the best for the most, for the least.

Design Ethos
When defining good design, we believe how a product looks barely scratches the surface.
Of course, a good product has to be aesthetic, but it also must satisfy a plethora of qualities. It must be functional, unobtrusive, long-lasting, and most importantly for us – it should excite and evoke a positive emotional response.
Our Factory
Arsene is founded by CVP, a seasoned furniture manufacturer based in Indonesia.
We believe great products stem from a working relationship between designers and craftsmen – one cannot possibly exist in isolation.
Our Materials
Just like our designs, we put careful consideration into the selection of materials that go into manufacturing our products.
After all, who wouldn’t? They make the backbone of our products. No good materials, no good products.
