With the Turbine Lounge Chair, the starting point was to create an immediately recognisable outline inspired by a wind turbine.

Featuring a Jean Prouve-like construction, the ‘blades’ converge towards the rear legs, where chairs take the most stress when used. This three-way joint means no cross brace is needed, simplifying its structure – a testament to the French constructeur‘s philosophy of honest construction.

The softly contoured blades accentuate the overall outline of the chair… but we can’t imagine it to be very aerodynamic.
