A technical requirement of outdoor teak furniture is that the teak must be subdivided into individual slats, leaving a gap in between to allow for material movement.

Taking inspiration from roof tiles, the teak slats on the Eave sideboard are arranged in a slight angle and overhang.

Not only does this arrangement create an interesting visual language, it also allows debris to cascade along the side, instead of potentially penetrating the interior.
